I have been a customer of Robert’s Suit Shop for years and love coming in to get a new flashy suit every couple of years. Not only do they have a great inventory of ready-to-purchase suits, but they are also very affordable and definitely cheaper than renting a suit from Friar Tux. When it comes to getting a custom-made suit, it may cost twice as much as getting one from Indochino but it will be much better quality than a cheap suit that gets quickly sewn in China and shipped to your door smelling like factory chemicals. Earlier this year I got married, and from the very start of wedding planning, I knew exactly where I wanted to get a suit for myself and my groomsmen. Initially, my fiancée and I went into the shop and Isaac showed us the ready-to-purchase suits they had in inventory, but when we noticed a gorgeous, shiny, custom-made suit on display we knew we had to go that route. Excitedly, we made an appointment for later that week to sit down with Isaac and design my suit. I can confidently say that the three-piece suit they made for me is the most spectacular suit I have ever owned or seen any of my friends own. We picked every little detail you could think of and more! From the style of stitching to the number of pockets, the colors and textures of the suit inside and out, and, of course, the stitched engraving of my name on the inside of the suit and the wedding date on the collar. We told my parents about our experience, and they asked if he could also make a custom suit for my dad. They repeated the same process and absolutely loved the suit he made for my dad as well. Lastly, Isaac did a fantastic job getting my groomsmen suited up. He did an excellent job in nailing the measurements for all five, even though one lived in another state and had to send his measurements via email. While he could have pushed for making them custom suits as well, he advised the best and most affordable course of action would be to order five suits of the same color from wherever he gets the ready-to-purchase suits and make small alterations to fit each of my groomsmen. Truly an honest businessman and a skilled tailor. I could not recommend this local business enough and will continue to send people to Robert’s for the years to come. Once my custom suit was finished, I came in for an initial fitting and left my suit on the rack by the changing rooms and mirrors once I was done. At my next fitting, Isaac told me that multiple different customers had come in later that day, and my suit had caught their attention and had them asking if they could also get that exact same suit.
